Pokémon Gold & Silver's 25th Anniversary Merch: November 23, 2024 Launch

Available at Pokémon Centers in Japan (and Online!)

The Pokémon Company has announced a commemorative merchandise collection for the 25th anniversary of Pokémon Gold and Silver. This exciting range, encompassing home goods and apparel, will be available from November 23rd, 2024, at Pokémon Center stores across Japan. While currently only available in Japan, online pre-orders via Pokémon Center Online and Amazon Japan begin November 21st, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. JST.

Prices range from ¥495 (approx. $4 USD) to ¥22,000 (approx. $143 USD). Highlights include stunning Ho-Oh and Lugia Sukajan jackets (¥22,000 each), stylish day bags (¥12,100), charming 2-piece plate sets (¥1,650), and a variety of stationery and hand towels.

Originally released in 1999 for the Game Boy Color, Pokémon Gold and Silver revolutionized the franchise. Critically acclaimed for their innovative features, including a real-time clock impacting gameplay and the introduction of 100 new Pokémon (Gen 2), these games quickly became classics. Beloved Pokémon like Pichu, Cleffa, Hoothoot, Chikorita, Umbreon, Ho-Oh, and Lugia debuted in these groundbreaking titles. Their legacy continued with the 2009 Nintendo DS remakes, Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver.
