March events are buzzing in *Pokemon GO*, and we’re gearing up for a seasonal shift with a spectacular event centered on bug-type Pokemon. The Bug Out event is your golden ticket to catching these fascinating creatures, packed with exciting bonuses and fresh avatar items to enhance your game.

Event Details

When is the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event?

The Bug Out event in *Pokemon GO* kicks off on **March 26 at 10 AM local time** and wraps up on **March 30 at 8 PM local time**. That’s five full days to snag all those adorable and sometimes creepy bug-type Pokemon. Shiny hunters, rejoice! Almost all featured Pokemon have a Shiny form, making this event a prime opportunity for your collection.

Featured Wild Pokemon for the Pokemon GO Bug Out Event

According to the official page, you’ll encounter the following bug-type Pokemon more frequently in the wild during the Bug Out event:

  • Caterpie
  • Weedle
  • Wurmple
  • Nincada
  • Venipede
  • Dwebble
  • Joltik
  • Grubbin
  • Dewpider
  • Nymble
  • Cutiefly (with Shiny potential)

New Pokemon During the Bug Out Event

Two exciting new Pokemon, Sizzlipede and Centiskorch, will make their debut in *Pokemon GO* during the Bug Out event. Evolve Sizzlipede into Centiskorch with just 50 Sizzlipede Candy.

All Pokemon GO Bug Out Event Bonuses

Trainers will enjoy the following bonuses during the Bug Out event:

  • Double XP for catching Pokemon with Nice Throws or better.
  • More Candy for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws.
  • More Candy XL for Nice, Great, and Excellent Throws (for Trainers over Level 31).
  • Sizzlipede can be attracted with Lure Modules.
  • Higher chance of encountering Shiny Wurmple and Shiny Venipede.
  • Additional Pokemon will appear near a lured PokeStop if enough Pokemon are caught using a single Lure Module.

Pokemon GO Bug Out Field Research, Timed Research, & Paid Time Research

Spin those PokeStops to receive event-themed Field Research tasks. Completing these tasks will reward you with Mega Energy, Scatterbug Candy, and encounters with some of the event’s Pokemon.

Timed Research rewards include a Lure Module and encounters with the event’s Pokemon, while Paid Timed Research offers a Lure Module, two Premium Battle Passes, and encounters with event Pokemon. Make sure to complete and claim these rewards before the event ends.

Pokemon GO Bug Avatar Items

Starting with the Bug Out event, new bug-type themed Avatar items will be available in the in-game shop, including:

  • Sizzlipede Boots
  • Scolipede Jacket

Pokemon GO Bug Out Collection Challenges

The Bug Out event features Collection Challenges with event-themed Pokemon. Completing these challenges will earn you rewards such as Stardust, XP, and encounters with event-themed Pokemon.
