Psyduck Debuts in Pokémon GO Amid Netflix Series Buzz

Psyduck takes center stage in the latest Pokémon GO event, celebrating the return of the animated series Pokémon Concierge on Netflix. The show's second season premiered on September 4th, continuing Haru's relaxing resort adventures.

Pokémon GO Teaches Psyduck a Water Safety Lesson

Recently appearing in Brazil, Psyduck can now be found everywhere in Pokémon GO as part of the Pokémon Concierge Celebration Event. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. on September 9th to 8:00 p.m. on September 14th, 2025.

While no new Pokémon are being introduced, Psyduck is in the spotlight with a brand-new costumed debut. This special version wears a swim ring, can be found in the wild, and has its Shiny form available. Sealeo will also appear in the wild, with Shinx as a rarer spawn.

Several event bonuses are active, including double XP for catching Pokémon, more frequent Buddy gifts, and increased chances of encountering a Shiny Psyduck wearing a swim ring. These Shiny variants also feature a special event-exclusive background.

What Else Is Included in the Event?

Players have a chance to be photobombed in GO Snapshots by Pokémon or characters from Pokémon Concierge. Meanwhile, completing Field Research tasks will reward encounters with event-themed Pokémon. Be sure to download the game from the Google Play Store before the event begins.

The excitement is also high for Pokémon Concierge's second season. This charming series originated from discussions between The Pokémon Company and Netflix back in 2019, with its first season launching in December 2023.

The show's heartfelt stories and calming atmosphere made it an instant favorite. It follows Haru, a woman who starts a new job as a concierge at the Pokémon Resort, learning and growing through her daily interactions with the visiting Pokémon. It's a highly recommended watch.
