Rosa's Book Location in KCD2 Revealed

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, missing out on side tasks can be a frustrating experience, especially when they're as easy to miss as Rosa's book quest. To ensure you don't miss out on this important side quest, follow these steps to unlock and complete "Rosa's Book."

Unlocking the Rosa's Book Side Quest

To start "Rosa's Book," you first need to complete the quest "Via Argentum" and begin "Taking French Leave." After assisting the Ruthard family in dealing with Vavak—whether by force or persuasion—you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She will share details about a secret passage into Maleshov, crucial for rescuing Hans. During your conversation, Rosa will request that you retrieve a specific book for her while you're in Maleshov. Be sure to ask her about the book and promise to bring it back to her to officially start "Rosa's Book."

Remember, you can only complete this quest during "Taking French Leave." Failing to find the book before leaving with Hans will result in the quest failing, and you'll miss the opportunity to romance Rosa if that's your goal. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Finding Rosa's Book in Maleshov

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Once inside, you'll find another set of stairs and a small kitchen nearby. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, sneak up the stairs to a room where you'll find Lady Ofka sitting by the fireplace. Sneak behind her and knock her out to take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and a sword from the chest in her room. In this same room, to the right of the fireplace, you'll spot Rosa's book in a window alcove. Pick it up, and your objective will update to return the book to Rosa.

While in the area, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save you time later when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the swords, head to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can still work towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart symbol, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Open the gate to initiate another cutscene, concluding the quest. After the cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and stop by Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing "Rosa's Book" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
