Following the successful 2021 re-release of Ubisoft’s *Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game*, the creative team behind *TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge* is now developing a brand-new entry in the franchise. Titled *Scott Pilgrim EX*, this upcoming title promises to deliver a fresh experience while staying true to the series’ iconic aesthetic and humor.
Scheduled for release in early 2026, *Scott Pilgrim EX* will launch on PC, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch platforms. Developed in close collaboration with Scott Pilgrim’s creator, Bryan Lee O’Malley, this four-player co-op brawler introduces an all-new story set in a stylized version of Toronto. Players can choose from Scott, Ramona, and five other beloved characters as they battle demons, robots, and other quirky foes in fast-paced, beat-'em-up action.
The game will feature a new original soundtrack by Anamanaguchi, known for their energetic chiptune style, and pixel art direction led by renowned artist Paul Robertson. Additional creative input will come from *Scott Pilgrim Takes Off* director BenDavid Grabinski, ensuring the game remains authentic to the source material while pushing its visual and narrative boundaries.
This marks the second full Scott Pilgrim video game, following the original 2010 title developed by Ubisoft and its 2021 re-release. Notably, Tribute Games—the studio behind *Scott Pilgrim EX*—is based in Montreal and includes several former Ubisoft developers who worked on the very first Scott Pilgrim game, bringing both passion and experience to this nostalgic project.
