Shadow Raid Day Unveiled by Pokémon GO

Pokemon GO's Shadow Raid Day: Ho-Oh Returns!

Get ready for a fiery showdown! Pokemon GO announces a Shadow Raid Day featuring the legendary Ho-Oh on January 19th, 2025. This marks the first Shadow Raid Day of the year, offering trainers a prime opportunity to catch this powerful Fire-type Pokemon.

This event builds on the success of past Shadow Raids, introduced in 2023, providing a unique way to acquire these powerful Pokemon variants. Past events, like the Shadow Moltres and Shadow Mewtwo returns, proved incredibly popular. Now, Ho-Oh takes center stage.

Event Details:

  • Date & Time: Sunday, January 19th, 2025, from 2 pm to 5 pm local time.
  • Featured Pokemon: Shadow Ho-Oh (with increased shiny encounter rates!).
  • Raid Passes: Spin Gyms to earn up to 7 free Raid Passes (or up to 15 with a special ticket).
  • Special Move: Teach your Shadow Ho-Oh the devastating Charged Attack, Sacred Fire (130 power in Trainer Battles, 120 in Raids/Gyms) using a Charged TM.

Boost Your Chances:

A special $5 event ticket is available, boosting your Raid Pass limit to 15, increasing your chances of encountering a shiny Shadow Ho-Oh. This ticket also provides a 50% XP bonus and 2x Stardust from raid battles until 10 pm local time on January 19th. An Ultra Ticket Box ($4.99) bundles the event ticket with a Premium Battle Pass.

Beyond Ho-Oh:

The excitement doesn't stop there! Pokemon GO is packed with events throughout January, including the recent Sprigatito Community Day and the ongoing Fidough debut. Look forward to the Community Day Classic (January 25th) and the Lunar New Year event (January 29th - February 2nd).

Don't miss this chance to add a powerful Shadow Ho-Oh to your collection!
