Shiny Pokémon Coming Soon to Pokémon TCG Pocket!

Exciting news for fans of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG)! The Pokémon Company has announced a thrilling update for Pokémon TCG Pocket with the introduction of Shiny Pokémon in the upcoming Shining Revelry expansion. This update is set to bring a dazzling new dimension to the game, with Shiny versions of popular Pokémon like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu becoming available.

When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?

Mark your calendars for March 27th, 2025, as that's when the Shining Revelry expansion will launch. This expansion isn't just about Shiny Pokémon; it includes over 110 new cards to enhance your collection. The digital format will make these Shiny cards shimmer when you tilt them, adding a new level of interactivity to your gameplay. Starting April 1st, you can also grab a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder to showcase your collection in style.

In addition to the Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono, will be joining the fray. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, offering you the chance to earn a deck ticket. This ticket can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks, making it easier than ever to jump into the action.

Shiny Pokémon have been a cherished part of the Pokémon TCG for years, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation of the games. The Hidden Fates set later set a new standard for modern Shiny cards with its Shiny Vault, and now, with the Shining Revelry expansion, these beloved cards are making their digital debut in Pokémon TCG Pocket.

Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!

Get ready to test your skills as ranked matches are set to launch in Pokémon TCG Pocket. The inaugural season will start on March 28th and run until April 27th, featuring the new cards from the Shining Revelry expansion. You'll be matched against players of similar skill levels, ensuring a competitive yet fair experience. At the end of the season, you'll earn an emblem to display on your profile, reflecting your final rank.
