Developers Confirm Switch 1 Version Still Coming
When Silksong briefly appeared during the April 2 Switch 2 Nintendo Direct, many players feared it might skip the current console generation. Originally announced in 2019 for PC and Switch 1, the game later expanded to PlayStation and Xbox platforms.
Team Cherry's marketing lead Matthew Griffin addressed these concerns via Twitter on April 8, confirming the title will release for both Switch and Switch 2. While official details about version differences remain unconfirmed, the Switch 2 iteration will likely feature enhanced resolution and hardware optimization.
Fresh Game Images Surface
Following the Switch 2 presentation, Nintendo Japan shared updated Silksong screenshots. Though depicting familiar locations, these images showcase noticeable graphical refinements compared to the 2019 reveals.
