The Sims

The Sims marks its 25th anniversary, and Electronic Arts is showering players with generous surprises. What started as a spinoff from SimCity has evolved into the beloved life-simulation game we know today—chances are, you've enjoyed The Sims at some point along the way.

What’s in Store for The Sims’ 25th Anniversary?

To celebrate its milestone birthday, The Sims is delivering 25 days of gifts—one free item each day for 25 days. Keep in mind, you’ll need to log in daily to collect them, as each gift is exclusive to its specific day.

Through the end of February 2025, EA is rolling out an expansive 25th-anniversary celebration across The Sims franchise. That means fresh updates, special re-releases, in-game events, and brand-new content for players to enjoy.

The Sims Mobile is also offering two free gifts to anyone who logs in during its birthday week, starting March 4th. Plus, EA has partnered with Spotify to release the ultimate Sims playlist, featuring memorable tracks that have shaped the sound of the games over the years.

A Nostalgic Trip Down Memory Lane

The Sims FreePlay is tapping straight into early-2000s nostalgia. In honor of 25 years of The Sims, FreePlay is introducing themed content that transports players back to the era of flip phones, frosted tips, and velour tracksuits.

Two new live events—The One with the Coffee Shop and Reality Island—will bring back classic vibes. The Social Town update introduces new homes, a helicopter, and an entire museum filled with FreePlay history to explore.

Be sure to check out The Sims Mobile and FreePlay on the Google Play Store to join the celebration.
