Star Wars Outlaws Release Date Set for Nintendo Switch 2

Ubisoft has officially confirmed that Star Wars: Outlaws will be making its way to the Nintendo Switch 2. However, fans eager to dive into this space adventure on the new Nintendo handheld will have to wait a bit longer. Instead of being a launch title when the Nintendo Switch 2 is released on June 5, Star Wars: Outlaws will hit the shelves on September 4.

For those who might have missed it on PS5, Xbox, and PC, Star Wars: Outlaws is set in the timeline between the events of "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi." The game follows the journey of Kay Vess, a small-time criminal who finds herself targeted by a cartel. Our reviewer rated it a 7, describing it as "a fun intergalactic heist adventure with great exploration, but it's hindered by simple stealth, repetitive combat, and a few too many bugs at launch."

While Ubisoft didn't provide many additional details, they did confirm the release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 version, allowing us to update the Switch 2 Games List. The announcement was made during a panel at Star Wars Celebration in Japan, where Ubisoft also unveiled the second story pack for Star Wars: Outlaws, titled "A Pirate's Fortune." In this add-on, Kay Vess teams up with Hondo Ohnaka to challenge Stinger Tash, the leader of the Rokana Raiders. Star Wars: Outlaws: A Pirate's Fortune is slated for release on May 15.
