As we exclusively announced earlier this year, we’re finally launching our first first-person Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game—and the very first TMNT title built for VR. It’s called TMNT: Empire City. In the new developer diary video above, get an early glimpse of first-person parkour and traversal gameplay in this upcoming co-op action-adventure featuring your favorite heroes in a half-shell.
Creative director Ace St. Germain shares insights into the first-person VR parkour mechanics of Empire City: "Movement through the sewers is slower and more stealthy, while above-ground travel centers on parkour, enabling fast, vertical exploration. We’re not rebuilding all of New York City, but focusing on its most iconic areas. The city’s haze and mist serve as narrative elements, not invisible barriers. Architecture draws inspiration from real New York buildings, such as Confucius Plaza—reimagined as the 'Wise Man Building.' Players use their hands to grab ledges, dash through the air, and launch dynamically. Zip lines and seamless momentum mechanics amplify freedom of movement. This vertical design is crucial for exploration, combat, and personal expression.
You can wishlist TMNT: Empire City on Steam or the Meta Store if you’re interested."
