Toaplan Launches 25 Classic Arcade Games on Mobile

If you're a fan of classic shoot 'em ups, you're going to want to check out the new app from Tatsujin, the game publishing studio founded by Toaplan legend Masahiro Yuge. Tatsujin has launched Amusement Arcade Toaplan on Android, celebrating 40 years of Toaplan's iconic legacy. Toaplan, a pioneering Japanese game developer founded in 1979, has been a major influence in the arcade shooter genre, and their games have inspired countless others.

Amusement Arcade Toaplan brings 25 of Toaplan's classic arcade games to your mobile device, just as they were originally played in arcades. The collection is a must-have for retro gaming enthusiasts and fans of the genre.

Will You Play Amusement Arcade Toaplan?

The crown jewel of the collection is the legendary shoot 'em up, Truxton (1988), available to play for free. Additionally, you can try demo versions of five other classics: Tiger Heli, Wardner, Flying Shark, Snow Bros, and Teki-Paki. If you find yourself hooked, you can purchase the full versions of these games, along with other titles like Truxton II, Snow Bros. 2, Guardian, Slap Fight/Alcon, Twin Cobra, Rally Bike, Hellfire, Twin Hawk, Demon’s World, Zero Wing, Fire Shark, Out Zone, Vimana, Ghox, Fixeight, Dogyuun, Grind Stormer, Knuckle Bash, and Batsugun, which are also available for individual purchase.

The app supports fully customizable touchscreen controls, but if you prefer a more authentic feel, you can connect a controller or even an arcade stick via Bluetooth. Don't miss the chance to watch the Amusement Arcade Toaplan release trailer below:

It’s Your Virtual Arcade

Amusement Arcade Toaplan isn't just about playing games; it's about building your own virtual arcade. Each game you download appears as a mini arcade machine, which you can arrange to your liking. Customize your space with chairs, potted plants, and even beds to create the ultimate retro gaming atmosphere.

For an authentic experience, the app includes visual filters that mimic the old-school CRT look, and you can adjust settings for difficulty, extra lives, and even enable an invincibility mode for uninterrupted gameplay. If you're passionate about retro arcade gaming, don't miss out on this collection available on the Google Play Store.
