Verdansk is confirmed to be back to Call of Duty Warzone

The launch of Warzone was a phenomenon. Verdansk offered something other battle royale games couldn't match, captivating millions. Now, with Black Ops 6 facing challenges, the return of this iconic map could revitalize the player base.

Activision has unveiled a nostalgic teaser trailer hinting at Verdansk's comeback. The description promises a revisit to this beloved location in honor of Call of Duty: Warzone's five-year anniversary, slated for Black Ops 6 Season 3's launch on April 3rd.

The teaser evokes a sense of warm nostalgia, showcasing Verdansk's beauty with a calm melody and classic military aesthetic—a refreshing change from the current Call of Duty's collaborations and often unrealistic cosmetics. Military planes, jeeps, and operators in classic attire fill the screen.

However, player expectations go beyond simply revisiting Verdansk's streets. Many yearn for the original game's mechanics, movement, sounds, and even graphics. While calls for the original Warzone servers' return are widespread, Activision's compliance remains unlikely. The original Warzone, launched in March 2020, boasts over 125 million players, a testament to its impact.
