Xbox Game Pass: January 2025 Wave 2 Games Revealed

Microsoft has announced the exciting Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Wave 2 lineup! This announcement, preceding Microsoft's Xbox Developer Direct on January 23rd, reveals a wave of day-one Game Pass titles including Doom: The Dark Ages, South of Midnight, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and a yet-to-be-revealed mystery game.

The January 2025 Wave 2 kicks off January 21st with the day-one release of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Master the mountain in this snowy sequel to Lonely Mountains: Downhill, now featuring up to eight-player cross-platform multiplayer. Race to the bottom or cooperate with friends, sharing limited checkpoints!

January 22nd brings a flurry of new additions: Flock (Console) arrives on Game Pass Standard, a multiplayer co-op experience where you collect adorable flying creatures. Gigantic: Rampage Edition (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, offering a dynamic 5v5 MOBA hero shooter experience. Also launching on January 22nd on Game Pass Standard are Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess (Console), a unique Japanese-inspired action strategy game; Magical Delicacy (Console); Tchia (Xbox Series X|S); and The Case of the Golden Idol (Console). Finally, Starbound (Cloud and Console) expands to Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard, having already launched on PC Game Pass.

January 28th sees the day-one release of Eternal Strands (Cloud, Console, and PC) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. This fantasy title from Yellow Brick Games, a studio featuring veterans from Dragon Age, Mass Effect, Watch Dogs, and Assassin's Creed, is a third-person action-adventure game where you battle epic creatures using magic and powerful weapons. Also launching on January 28th as a day-one title is Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass—a frantic third-person shooter and trap defense game for up to four players.

Shady Part of Me (Cloud, Console, and PC) arrives on January 29th across Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard, taking you on an emotional journey as a little girl and her shadow. A day-one release on January 30th, Sniper Elite: Resistance (Cloud, Console, and PC) brings the award-winning sniping mechanics to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, letting you experience a hidden war in occupied France, solo or in co-op.

Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (Cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X|S) launches day-one on Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 31st, continuing the acclaimed dice-driven RPG experience. Finally, Far Cry New Dawn (Cloud, Console, and PC) joins Game Pass Ultimate, PC Game Pass, and Game Pass Standard on February 4th, setting you in a vibrant, post-apocalyptic Hope County, Montana.
