Zenless Zone Zero 1.7 'Bury Your Tears with the Past' Launches Soon

HoYoverse has officially announced the release date and key details for *Zenless Zone Zero* Version 1.7, titled “Bury Your Tears with the Past.” The update is set to launch on April 23rd, serving as a climactic conclusion to Season 1's overarching narrative.

What’s in Store in Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.7?

This major update dives deep into the central mystery of the Sacrifice crisis, shedding light on long-standing questions. Players will explore Vivian’s complex past while uncovering the truth about Hugo’s fate—no longer just rumors or theories. After Hugo’s dramatic fall into the Hollow, tensions between Mockingbird and TOPS escalate further, prompting the Mayor to dispatch a special Void Hunter-rank investigator.

Joining forces with Vivian, Proxies will venture into dangerous enemy territory in pursuit of the Sacrifice Core. Vivian’s personal vendetta against figures from her past intertwines with the unraveling conspiracy of the Exaltists, bringing players closer than ever to the heart of the story.

Character Lineup for Version 1.7

Two new S-Rank Agents from Mockingbird are joining the roster in this update. First up is Vivian, an Ether Anomaly Agent who wields a parasol and rapier combo, dealing high Corruption damage when synergized with EX Special Attacks from other characters.

Hugo follows closely behind as the second new character, an Ice Attack Agent equipped with a suitcase that transforms into a scythe. His unique Totalize effect triggers when attacking stunned enemies, increasing damage based on the remaining stun duration.

Robin, Mockingbird’s nimble Bangboo partner, also makes an appearance, throwing cards with randomized effects. Meanwhile, Jane, the Physical Anomaly Agent, and Lighter, the Fire Stun Agent, will both return in the rerun banners of Version 1.7.

New Events in Version 1.7

The update introduces exciting new events, including “Say It With Flowers,” where players manage a flower shop by completing design requests and crafting custom floral arrangements. Successfully finishing commissions unlocks a permanent floral mini-game under the Quality Time mode, along with exclusive rewards.
