Samsung Notes is an incredibly versatile tool that empowers you to create, edit, and collaborate on documents across your mobile, tablet, or PC. With the powerful S Pen, you can easily add annotations to PDFs and create documents that incorporate images or voice recordings. The app's compatibility extends to various formats, allowing you to connect your documents with apps such as PDF, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft PowerPoint, making it a seamless part of your productivity suite.
Getting started is as simple as tapping the + icon in the bottom right corner of the main screen to create a new note. These notes are saved with the “sdocx” extension, ensuring they remain compatible across devices.
To keep your notes secure, navigate to the main screen, tap More Options in the upper right corner, select Settings, and then choose Lock Note. Here, you can select a note locking method and set a password. For individual notes, tap More Options on the note’s screen and select Lock Note to protect your sensitive information.
For those who prefer a more personal touch, creating handwritten notes is straightforward. Simply tap the Handwriting icon while writing a note, and watch as your handwriting appears directly on the note. Adding multimedia is just as easy; tap the photo icon to capture or edit images, or the Voice Recording icon to add audio, making your notes more dynamic and engaging.
Samsung Notes also offers a variety of writing tools. Tap the Pen icon to choose from pens, fountain pens, pencils, highlighters, and more, customizing your writing experience with different colors and thicknesses. If you need to make corrections, the Eraser icon lets you selectively remove content.
Importing notes and memos from other apps is hassle-free with the Smart Switch feature, which allows you to bring in data from S Note and Memo saved on other devices. You can also sync previously created notes and memos with your Samsung account for easy access.
When it comes to permissions, Samsung Notes requires access to your Storage to save and load document files. Optional permissions include access to Photos and Videos, Notifications, Music and Audio, Phone, Microphone, and Camera, which enhance the app's functionality but are not necessary for basic use.
