Our second Sloword application is ready. You can access Scanword directly from the first screen by clicking on the picture, or navigate to it through the Settings - Other applications section. For a fresh take on puzzles, give this modern alternative to traditional crosswords a try.

Scanwords in Russian stand out as a unique cultural phenomenon. No other language boasts such a rich array of literary, humorous, and contemporary-themed questions within its crosswords. It may seem trivial, but these puzzles are a testament to the Russian people's deep reverence for the word. They cherish, uphold, and treasure the power of language.

The scanwords in our application cater to all levels of difficulty, featuring a mix of simpler and more complex puzzles. They come with photographs and a variety of question styles, from classic to associative, like "one word" or "one word, two words," reminiscent of Elder Fur's tips. Each magazine includes one English-Russian scanword and a "holey" one, the reason for which you'll discover upon solving. Every page welcomes you with a character from our cheerful family. All scanwords are available to readers at no cost. This annual collection comprises 52-53 issues, each containing 20 scanwords. The complete yearly set will occupy approximately 50 MB on your device, as the images are kept small and the text is straightforward. We understand the importance of conserving space on your phone.

Solving puzzles does not require an internet connection, provided the scanwords are already downloaded to your device. A new issue is released every Friday. If you have enabled notifications, you'll receive a reminder every Friday at 12:00 local time. Upon opening the app, the latest issue downloads automatically and won't repeat if successful. Additionally, you can choose to download or delete individual issues to your phone, or use the "Settings" option to download all issues at once.

The core features of the app, including access to all scanwords, are free for users. Advertising supports these offerings, with each page featuring a narrow banner and an interstitial ad before opening a scanword. Our advertisers respect the solving experience and do not interrupt it. They also offer free hints in exchange for watching their videos.

Readers have the option, but not the obligation, to manage their advertising experience by: a) permanently disabling ads, b) subscribing to remove ads and gain unlimited hints during the subscription period, or c) collecting hints in bulk. These options are clearly presented in the "Shop" section.
