Ayushman is the official mobile application launched by the Government of India to streamline access to healthcare services under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). This flagship program aims to deliver cashless secondary and tertiary care treatment from empanelled public and private hospitals, providing coverage to over 10 crore poor and vulnerable beneficiary families across the nation.
The National Health Authority (NHA) serves as the apex body tasked with implementing the Ayushman Bharat PM-JAY, ensuring that the scheme reaches its intended audience effectively. One of the key features of the Ayushman app is the ability for beneficiaries to create their "Ayushman card," which entitles them to receive free treatment up to INR 5 Lakhs, thereby alleviating the financial burden of healthcare costs.
