Application Description

CPU-Z is a renowned application that provides comprehensive information about your Android device. This free tool, which mirrors the popular CPU identification software for PCs, offers detailed insights into your device's hardware and performance.

Here's what CPU-Z can tell you:

  • SoC (System On Chip) details including name, architecture, and clock speed for each core.
  • System specifics such as device brand, model, screen resolution, RAM, and storage capacity.
  • Battery information covering level, status, temperature, and capacity.
  • Details about the sensors equipped in your device.

To use CPU-Z, your device must run Android 2.2 or a later version (starting from version 1.03 and above).

The app requires certain permissions:

  • INTERNET permission is needed for online validation, which is further detailed in the notes section.
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE permission is used for gathering statistics.

Notes on Online Validation (available from version 1.04 and above):

The validation feature allows you to store your Android device's hardware specifications in a database. After validation, CPU-Z will open your validation URL in your current internet browser. Optionally, you can provide your email address to receive a validation link as a reminder.

Settings and Debug Options (from version 1.03 and above):

If CPU-Z closes unexpectedly due to a bug, the settings screen will appear during the next launch. This screen allows you to disable the main detection features, which can help the app run more smoothly.

In case of any issues, you can generate a bug report by navigating to the application menu and selecting "Send Debug Infos" to email a report.
