Experience the future of smartphone navigation with Fluid N.G., an innovative app that brings Breccia's concept of fluid navigation gestures to life. Although no longer actively maintained, Fluid N.G. can still transform your phone's interface, offering a fresh, dynamic way to interact with your device.
*Requires ADB, root or supported device*
*This app is no longer being maintained*
**Usage**
Fluid N.G. features two primary gesture types: 'Quick swipe' and 'Swipe & Hold'. These can be initiated from the bottom or side edges of your screen. Notably, side triggers are limited to the bottom half of the screen, ensuring you can still easily access side menus in other apps.
**Actions**
- Back
- Home
- Recent apps
- Toggle split screen
- Open notifications
- Open power dialog
- Open quick settings
- Launch Google search overlay
- Open keyboard selector
- Voice Search
- Launch assistant
- Launch app
- Launch shortcut
**Setup**
To fully enjoy Fluid N.G., you might need to hide the software navigation keys, which requires either root access or a PC to grant specific permissions. Here's how you can do it using Android ADB on your PC or Mac:
- Enable Developer Mode in your Android settings.
- Activate USB Debugging.
- Set up ADB on your PC.
- Execute the following command in ADB to grant the necessary permission:
adb shell pm grant com.fb.fluid android.permission.WRITE_SECURE_SETTINGS
To revert to the default navigation keys, simply disable Fluid N.G. or use the following ADB command:
adb shell wm overscan 0,0,0,0
For Windows users, there's an open-source tool called **FluidNGPermissionGranter** available to simplify granting permissions. You can download it here.
