The 11" model is now available for just $499, and the 13" model is priced at $699, both after a $100 instant discount. These are the best prices yet for the 2025 model equipped with the M3 chip, making them an excellent gift idea for Mother's Day, which falls on May 11.

The 7th generation iPad Air, released in March, is the latest model. It's only one year newer than the 6th generation and the primary upgrade is the transition from the M2 to the M3 chip. The M3 chip offers about a 20% performance boost over its predecessor and is only about 20% slower than the iPad Pro's M4 chip. The iPad Air retains the stunning Ultra Retina XDR display, Wi-Fi 6E, and 5G cellular connectivity. It's compatible with the Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil (USB-C), and Magic Keyboard, transforming it into a versatile iOS hybrid laptop. Additionally, it supports Apple Intelligence.

In her review of the older 2024 model, Jacqueline Thomas described the iPad Air as "**The iPad for the rest of us**." She noted that for most users who need a tablet for gaming or watching movies, the iPad Air strikes the perfect balance. While it may not match the premium feel of the iPad Pro, its beautiful display and the still-powerful M2 processor make it an excellent choice.
