The prestigious 2025 Will Eisner Comic Industry Awards nominees have been announced, spotlighting the finest achievements in comics - considered the medium's equivalent to the Oscars. This year's nominations highlight standout creators and publishers from across the comic book industry.

Publisher Powerhouses

Fantagraphics leads with an impressive 24 nominations (plus 1 shared), followed closely by DC Comics with 10 nominations (plus 9 shared). Wonder Woman scribe Tom King emerges as the most-nominated creator with four nods, while several others earned three nominations each.

Former IGN Editor Recognized

Comics fans may recognize former IGN Comics editor Joey Esposito among the nominees. His series The Pedestrian with Sean Von Gorman secured a Best New Series nomination, competing against high-profile titles like Absolute Batman.

The Judges Spoke

The judging panel - featuring industry professionals like John Jennings, Ebony Flowers, and James Maddox - selected nominees from across diverse comic formats and genres published between January 1 and December 31, 2024.
