TouchArcade Rating:

Balatro, the acclaimed roguelike from LocalThunk and Playstack, is launching on mobile! This premium title arrives on iOS and Android later this month, also debuting simultaneously on Apple Arcade as a "+" version. Having already surpassed 2 million units sold across various platforms (PS5, Switch, Steam, PS4, and Xbox) in under six months, Balatro's mobile debut is highly anticipated. A major free update planned for 2025 promises even more gameplay enhancements and strategic options.

Balatro will be available for $9.99 on mobile. Watch the mobile announcement trailer below:

For those unfamiliar with Balatro, my 5/5 Switch review provides a comprehensive overview. It also features prominently in my "Best Games of 2024 (So Far)" article for Switch. I've also conducted an interview with LocalThunk discussing the game and its mobile adaptation, which you can find here.

Pre-order Balatro now on the App Store (iOS) and pre-register on Google Play (Android). The Apple Arcade version is also available for pre-order.

Will you be adding this top-rated 2024 game to your mobile library this September?
