Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive its first Title Update tomorrow, introducing quests that challenge players to compete for the fastest clear times. In anticipation of this update, Capcom has issued a strong statement against cheating, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining a fair and enjoyable gaming environment for all players.
In a recent post on the Monster Hunter account on X/Twitter, Capcom warned, "To ensure a fun and fair experience for our players, we will take action against accounts participating in fraudulent ranking activity, such as the use of cheating or external tools. Accounts deemed to be in breach of this may be suspended, or have restrictions placed on them, such as being unable to receive rewards from these quests." This stern message underscores the company's zero-tolerance policy towards cheating.
Capcom also highlighted that participating in multiplayer hunts with cheaters could lead to invalid quest completion times and the revocation of rewards for the entire party. They advised players to be cautious and avoid playing with those suspected of engaging in prohibited activities. The company encouraged players to report any instances of cheating they encounter during quests.
The new quests will offer attractive rewards in the form of cosmetic pendants. Some of these will be distributed to all participants, while others will be awarded based on Completion Time or the hunter's ranking. This reward system explains Capcom's stringent measures against cheating, as it aims to ensure the integrity of the competition and the fairness of the reward distribution.
The Time-Based Competition Quests will be available starting with Title Update 1 and will be managed through the new Arena Quest Counter in the Grand Hub in Suja. Players must complete a special tutorial mission to unlock the Grand Hub. It's recommended to prioritize this once Title Update 1 is released tomorrow in Monster Hunter Wilds.
