Idris Elba, star of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, has expressed strong interest in a live-action Cyberpunk 2077 film alongside Keanu Reeves. In a recent interview with ScreenRant, promoting his role in Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (where he shares the screen with Reeves), Elba stated that a live-action adaptation featuring himself and Reeves would be incredible. He envisions a powerful on-screen pairing, stating, "I think if any film could do a live-action rendition, it could be [Cyberpunk 2077], and I think his character and my character together would be, ‘Whoa.’ So, let's speak that into existence."

While details remain scarce, the success of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners and the live-action Witcher series suggests a Cyberpunk adaptation is a viable and potentially lucrative venture.

More Cyberpunk News: A Prequel Manga and Blu-ray Release

Beyond the live-action possibility, fans have more Cyberpunk content to look forward to. A prequel manga to Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, titled Cyberpunk: Edgerunners MADNESS, is now available in several languages, with an English release expected later. Additionally, a Blu-ray release of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is planned for 2025, and CDPR has teased another animated series. The Cyberpunk universe continues to expand!
