Five Million Downloads Achieved in Indus x Manila Playtest

Author : Zoe Dec 26,2024

Indus, the Indian-made battle royale shooter, has surpassed five million Android downloads and 100,000 iOS downloads in just two months since its release. This follows a successful international playtest in Manila and a Google Play Best Made in India Game 2024 award win.

This significant achievement positions Indus as a leading contender in the Indian gaming market, challenging competitors like FAU-G: Domination. The Manila playtest at the YGG Play Summit gave international esports players a chance to experience Indus firsthand.

SuperGaming, the developer, aims to establish Indus as a major esports title through its Clutch India Movement. The Indus International Tournament, running from October 2024 to February 2025, boasts a ₹2.5 crore (approximately $31,000 USD) prize pool.

Impressive Growth, Future Potential

While the five million downloads fall slightly short of the initial ten million pre-registrations (a common occurrence), the numbers are still highly impressive. The lower iOS download count suggests a need to further penetrate that market segment.

SuperGaming's proactive approach, including international playtests and a large-scale esports tournament, demonstrates ambitious plans for Indus's growth and development.
