EA Launches Playtest for The Sims Spinoff, City Life Game with Friends

Electronic Arts, commonly known as EA, is currently running an exclusive playtest for their new game, City Life Game with Friends, on Android devices. This playtest is a part of EA's broader initiative, The Sims Project Rene, aimed at gathering valuable feedback on game performance and player interactions. If you're an Android user with a device running at least Android 12 and equipped with 4GB of RAM, you might be eligible to participate in this limited-time event.

Where Is the City Life Game with Friends Playtest Available?

The playtest for City Life Game with Friends is exclusively available on Android devices. To join in, your phone must be updated to at least Android 12 and have 4GB of RAM. However, participation is not open to everyone, so make sure to check if you're eligible.

The playtest will run until April 4th, 2025, but the end times vary by region. It will conclude at 7 PM UTC, 6 AM AEST in Australia, and 3 AM PHT in the Philippines. Once the playtest ends, the game will no longer be accessible, and you'll need to uninstall it from your device.

Keep in mind, this playtest isn't a full game or a definitive preview of the final product. It's more of a glimpse into the direction EA might be taking with The Sims Project Rene. It's clear that EA is experimenting with various concepts and ideas through this playtest.

What’s in Store?

Once you're in the playtest, you'll have the chance to create a character that reflects your personal style and vibe. The game's neighborhood is vibrant and full of activities. You can explore the Thrift Shop for new outfits, relax at the Café, or participate in community events.

The game encourages social interaction and community building. You can collaborate with others to organize block parties, make wishes at the plaza fountain, and search for hidden collectibles. Whether your interests lie in art, music, or simply engaging in meaningful conversations, City Life Game with Friends offers plenty of opportunities to connect with others.

If you're interested in joining the playtest, head over to the Google Play Store and see if you're in one of the eligible regions. If not, stay tuned for our next update on Bandai Namco's decision to discontinue PAC-MAN Mobile on its 45th anniversary.
