EOS End for Revue Starlight Re LIVE

Revue Starlight Re LIVE: Curtain Call on September 30th

The mobile game, Revue Starlight Re LIVE, based on the popular anime series, will officially cease operations on September 30th, 2024, at 07:00 UTC. After nearly six years on Android, the game's servers will shut down worldwide.

Reasons for Closure: A Decline in Performance

While initially a promising extension of the Revue Starlight storyline, featuring a strategic battle system and appealing visuals, Revue Starlight Re LIVE faced challenges over its lifespan. Factors contributing to its closure include:

  • Repetitive events and reused assets.
  • Costly battle passes.
  • Unpopular narrative choices, such as the abrupt shift in storyline.

Despite these shortcomings, the game boasted a positive reception for its soundtrack, featuring music from the anime, and its high-quality 3D graphics and Live2D animations.

A Final Farewell: Last Chance to Play

Although the game's end is approaching, players still have a few weeks to enjoy Revue Starlight Re LIVE. Developers are implementing several events in August and September to allow players a proper send-off:

  • A "Thank You For Everything" campaign offering 10 free pulls daily.
  • A two-month birthday celebration.
  • Two "New Stage Girl Gacha" events in August and September.

Download the game from the Google Play Store before the servers close to experience the final events and say goodbye to this chapter of Revue Starlight. For more gaming news, check out our other articles, such as the announcement of Netflix's The Dragon Prince: Xadia on Android!
