Timed Exclusivity Expected:

A March 6, 2024 Washington Post report indicated PlayStation secured timed exclusivity for the entire FF7 Remake trilogy. Following the precedent set by previous installments (one year for FF7 Remake on PS4, six months for FF7 Remake Intergrade on PS5, and a similar period for FF7 Rebirth), Part 3 is anticipated to launch exclusively on PS5 before arriving on other platforms.

Square Enix's Multi-Platform Shift:

FF7 Remake Part 3 Will Again Release on PS5 First, Other Platforms Later

Despite the positive reception of the FF7 Remake series, Square Enix's March 31, 2024 financial report revealed declining sales in its HD titles. In response, the company announced a shift towards a more aggressive multi-platform strategy, encompassing Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. This suggests that while Part 3 will initially launch on PS5, its eventual release on other consoles and PC is highly probable.
