In celebration of the "Nyras Prologue" demo release for the Gothic 1 Remake, THQ Nordic and Alkimia Interactive have unveiled an exciting new trailer. This demo introduces players to Nyras, a prisoner who takes the place of the original game's Nameless Hero. Despite this change, Nyras's primary objective remains the same—to survive in the unforgiving world of Gothic.

The demo was strategically launched during the Steam Next Fest event, achieving a remarkable feat by setting a new record for concurrent players within the Gothic series. This milestone underscores the high level of anticipation and interest surrounding the remake.

The "Nyras Prologue" demo offers a glimpse into the game's enhanced graphics, smoother animations, and a revamped combat system, all powered by Unreal Engine 5. While the prologue provides a taste of what's to come, it's important to note that it cannot fully showcase the extensive freedom of action and deep RPG mechanics that await players in the complete version of the game.
