Vermeij曾参与过Rockstar一些最具代表性的游戏开发，包括侠盗猎车手3、罪恶都市、圣安地列斯和侠盗猎车手4。自2023年开始在其个人博客上发布大量侠盗猎车手趣闻以来，Vermeij持续在Twitter上分享各种细节，包括克劳德在GTA 3中沉默寡言的原因。最近，他分享了标志性电影镜头视角的诞生过程。

Vermeij在Twitter上发文表示，他最初觉得侠盗猎车手3中的火车旅程“很无聊”。他尝试过让玩家跳过火车旅程直接到达下一站，但这由于“会导致串流问题”而不可行。于是，他决定让摄像机在火车轨道附近的不同视角之间切换，以使旅程更有趣。一位同事建议将类似方法应用于汽车，Rockstar团队发现这“意外地有趣”，于是标志性电影镜头视角诞生了。

Vermeij还透露，这一电影镜头视角在侠盗猎车手：罪恶都市（经常被认为是最好的GTA游戏之一）中完全没有改变，但在侠盗猎车手：圣安地列斯中被另一位Rockstar员工重新设计。一位粉丝甚至费力地从游戏中删除了侠盗猎车手3的电影镜头视角，以展示如果没有Vermeij开发的这一标志性功能，旅程会是什么样子。Vermeij回应说，火车旅程的摄像机角度会类似于驾驶汽车，位于车厢上方和略微靠后。

这位前Rockstar Games开发者最近还验证了去年12月发生的关于侠盗猎车手的大规模泄密事件的一些细节。泄密事件显示，Rockstar Games曾开发侠盗猎车手3的在线模式，设计文档中揭示了角色创建、在线任务、进度等计划。泄密事件后，Vermeij透露他曾编写了一个“基本实现”的简易死亡竞赛，玩家可以通过互相残杀获得分数。可惜的是，由于“需要更多工作”，在线模式最终被放弃了。
