This confirmation comes directly from CEO Strauss Zelnick, alongside the announcement of Borderlands 4's release this year.

While a fall release is the current plan, Zelnick emphasized Rockstar's meticulous development approach. This careful process, mirroring the creation of GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, might necessitate further adjustments to the timeline. Specific release dates will be revealed at a later time.
