Hangry Morpeko Is Coming To Pokémon GO This Halloween!

Pokémon GO's Halloween event is almost here! Niantic has revealed the details for Part 1 (with a Part 2 to follow!), promising spooky encounters and exciting features.

The event runs from Tuesday, October 22nd, 10:00 a.m. local time, to Monday, October 28th, 2024, 10:00 a.m. local time.

What's New?

Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, particularly effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League. Its ability to switch between Full Belly Mode (Aura Wheel Electric-type attack) and Hangry Mode (Aura Wheel Dark-type attack) mid-battle, both with 100 power and Attack boosts, is a thrilling addition.

During the event, Morpeko will appear more frequently in GO Battle League's premium track, and afterwards will be available from Rank 16 onwards, though remaining more common in premium battles.

A Spooktacular Celebration!

Get ready for a festive atmosphere with special Halloween decorations! Fans of the Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly throughout the event. Check out this remix:

Dynamax Gastly also joins the fun in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.

A free Timed Research event, running from October 22nd to November 3rd, focuses on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Completing tasks rewards encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
