The Appearance of Promo Card 008
The unobtainable Promo Card 008 appeared around January 2025, creating a blank space between Professor Oak (007) and Pikachu (009) in the Promo – A Card Dex. While its numbered position suggests it's been in the game longer, it only recently appeared as a visible blank spot on the list. This has left players eager to learn how to acquire it.
What is Promo Card 008?
Although currently unobtainable, the card's appearance can be glimpsed. By checking the "Related Cards" section of cards like Red Card (006) or Pokedex (004), a greyed-out version of Promo Card 008 is visible. It depicts an alternate art Pokedex surrounded by Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.
The card's information confirms its unowned status and notes it will be "obtained from a campaign," similar to the New Year 2025 Pikachu card (Promo 026). This differs from cards acquired through missions or Wonder Pick events, suggesting a promotional giveaway is likely.
