Hollow Knight Silksong creators troll the community with a “delicious teaser”

Hollow Knight Silksong's release remains elusive, much to the amusement (and frustration) of its dedicated fanbase. The game, initially anticipated in 2024, continues to elude a firm release date, leaving fans eagerly awaiting its arrival this year. Recently, Team Cherry, the developers, ignited another wave of speculation with a cryptic image.

A simple picture of a single cake was shared by Team Cherry members, sparking immediate speculation amongst enthusiastic fans who theorized it was the prelude to an Alternate Reality Game (ARG).

However, this excitement was short-lived. Team Cherry quickly clarified that the cake image was not part of an ARG, deflating the hopes of many.

Despite the official explanation, the "cake theory" persists, with some believing a full game reveal might be imminent, perhaps in April. Development continues, and the official release date for Hollow Knight Silksong remains shrouded in mystery.

Team Cherry's critically acclaimed Hollow Knight established their reputation. The game follows a silent knight traversing the interconnected, decaying underground kingdom of Hallownest, engaging in challenging combat, intricate puzzles, and uncovering a rich and captivating narrative.
