Immerse in Fragrant Tales: Latest Releases and Deals on SwitchArcade

Author : Andrew Jan 09,2025

Hello again, Switch fans! Welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for August 26th, 2024. Today’s update is a bit lighter than usual; my schedule is packed with other projects, so there are no reviews today. However, we'll cover some new releases and the latest sales – and at least one new game looks promising! The sales are pretty decent too. Reviews will hopefully be back tomorrow. Let's dive into the details!

New Game Releases

Fragrant Story and Papaya's Path ($7.99)

Let's clear up the confusion surrounding Fragrant Story, a purported final Nintendo 3DS title. Initially released as a drastically shortened version, this tactical RPG received significant updates to reach its intended length of over ten hours. The initial twenty-minute experience was due to a tight 3DS release deadline. This current version includes all updates, making it a worthwhile $8 purchase for tactical RPG fans.

Quack Jump ($3.99)

A straightforward platformer offering 40 levels with evolving mechanics. At $4, it provides decent entertainment.

Underground Station ($7.90)

An idle game focused on paying off debts through dungeon work. It may not be visually stunning, but it's a welcome alternative on a day when AI-generated bikini anime is overflowing.

Sales Spotlight

(North American eShop, US Prices)

Let’s check the eShop deals. Limited Run Games has another sale, great for those missing their unique titles. Many of TROOOZE's games are discounted (only a few listed here), alongside some Team 17 titles. The recent sale on the Front Mission remakes is ending soon; grab them if interested, as discounts seem infrequent.
