Infinity Nikki's Phenomenal Debut: $16 Million in First-Month Revenue

Infinity Nikki, the latest installment in the popular Nikki series, has shattered expectations, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game revenue within its first month. This surpasses previous Nikki titles by an astounding 40 times, highlighting the game's immense popularity. The game's success is largely attributed to its strong performance in China, where it garnered over 5 million downloads.

Developed by Infold Games (Papergames in China), Infinity Nikki launched in December 2024, immediately captivating players with its enchanting Miraland setting and charming characters, Nikki and Momo. Gameplay centers around dressing Nikki in magically empowered outfits, using the energy of Whimstars to solve puzzles and progress through the story. The game's pre-registration numbers reached an impressive 30 million, indicating significant anticipation before launch.

AppMagic data (via Pocket Gamer) reveals a strong initial performance. The game earned $3.51 million in its first week, followed by $4.26 million and $3.84 million in the subsequent weeks. While weekly revenue decreased to $1.66 million by the fifth week, the cumulative total still reached nearly $16 million, significantly outpacing the first-month revenue of Love Nikki ($383,000) and even exceeding Shining Nikki's international launch revenue ($6.2 million) by a considerable margin. It's important to note that these figures reflect only mobile platform earnings.

Infinity Nikki's Chinese Success

China played a pivotal role in Infinity Nikki's success, contributing over 42% of total downloads. Daily revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6th, shortly after launch. While daily earnings subsequently fluctuated, experiencing a low of $141,000 on December 26th, a Version 1.1 update on December 30th spurred a significant resurgence, boosting daily revenue to $665,000.

Available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android, Infinity Nikki continues to thrive. The developers' commitment to regular updates and seasonal events, such as the Fishing Day Event, promises to maintain the game's momentum and further enhance player engagement.
