Introducing Innovation: CoD Dev Unveils Challenge Tracker

Treyarch is developing a highly anticipated in-game challenge tracker for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. This feature, absent from the game's launch despite its presence in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, is currently under development. While a release date remains unannounced, its arrival is expected soon, potentially coinciding with the upcoming Season 2 update later this month.

A recent January 9th update addressed various bug fixes in Black Ops 6's multiplayer and zombies modes, including UI and audio improvements, and XP adjustments for the Red Light, Green Light mode. Significantly, Treyarch reversed a controversial Zombies change from the January 3rd update, removing extended round times and zombie spawn delays in Directed Mode following player feedback.

Challenge Tracking Feature Confirmed

Treyarch confirmed the challenge tracker's development via Twitter, responding to a fan request. The feature's absence was a point of frustration for players, particularly those pursuing Mastery camos. The anticipated functionality mirrors Modern Warfare 3's system, providing real-time challenge progress tracking within the game's UI.

Additional Improvements on the Horizon

Beyond the challenge tracker, Treyarch also confirmed the development of separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies modes, addressing another player concern. This would eliminate the need for constant HUD adjustments when switching between game modes.
