Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Miner's Dilemma

Navigating the choices in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, particularly within the main and side quests, can be tricky. This guide focuses on the Post Scriptum side quest and whether you should assist the miners.

Initiating Post Scriptum:

This side quest becomes available upon reaching the Kuttenberg region. Locate the tavern west of Kuttenberg and speak with Kvyertsolav to begin. The quest involves writing a letter for the miners, presenting several branching paths.

Crafting the Letter:

When assisting Kvyertsolav with the letter, you can choose different writing styles: a refined version, a direct copy, or a more aggressive, concise approach. The outcome remains consistent regardless of your choice. After writing, the miners may attempt to harm you; a successful Speech check can defuse the situation.

Turning Miners Over to the Baliff:

If you survive the miners' attack, you can choose to report them to the baliff. This concludes the quest immediately, yielding a 100 groschen reward. However, this isn't the optimal outcome or reward.

Choosing Between Markold and the Miners:

Delivering the letter to Markold, the mine owner, presents another decision. You can attempt to blackmail him, give him the letter directly, or collaborate with him against the miners. Blackmail is discouraged due to a difficult Speech check and immediate quest conclusion.

Aiding Markold involves killing three miners, resulting in a meager 60 groschen reward – the least favorable outcome.

The recommended approach is to give Markold the letter as intended. He'll provide seven groschen and instruct you to meet miners north of the city. Meet them, proceed to their camp, and speak with Myslibor. A confrontation with Markold ensues; assisting the miners in defeating him completes the quest, awarding 160 groschen and improving the miners' working conditions.

This concludes the guide on whether to help the miners in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's Post Scriptum quest. For further game tips and information, including advice on the Semine storyline and romance options, refer to The Escapist.
