The set photos also reveal new characters joining the fray in Season 4, who will carry on into the final season. Notably, the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in *Morbius*, will portray Emiel Reigs. These images hint that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski’s *Tower of the Swallow*, particularly the plot involving Geralt\\'s encounter with beekeepers guiding him towards druids. However, with Season 4 still pending release, the storyline remains open to numerous possibilities, leaving fans eagerly awaiting how the narrative will unfold.

The departure of Henry Cavill isn\\'t the only casting change; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt\\'s mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts. Netflix has yet to announce Bodnia\\'s replacement or the official release date for Season 4, keeping fans on the edge of their seats for further updates.

Liam Hemsworth Debuts as Geralt in 'The Witcher' Season 5 Set Photos

Author : Lucas May 01,2025

The iconic White Wolf is making his final appearance as production for the much-anticipated fifth and final season of *The Witcher* is now underway. Fans have been treated to new set photos, leaked and shared by the dedicated Witcher fan site Redanian Intelligence, offering a glimpse of Liam Hemsworth stepping into the role of Geralt de Rivia. These images showcase Hemsworth donning the character's signature long blonde hair and full costume, marking a new chapter following Henry Cavill's departure from the series.

Alongside Hemsworth, familiar faces such as Meng'er Zhang as Milva and Joey Batey as Jaskier, who have been part of the series since Cavill led the show, are also featured in the photos. Hemsworth's casting as Geralt was announced back in October 2022, confirming he would take over the role from Season 4 onwards, culminating in the fifth season.

The set photos also reveal new characters joining the fray in Season 4, who will carry on into the final season. Notably, the legendary actor Laurence Fishburne, known for his role in *Morbius*, will portray Emiel Reigs. These images hint that Season 5 might draw inspiration from Andrzej Sapkowski’s *Tower of the Swallow*, particularly the plot involving Geralt's encounter with beekeepers guiding him towards druids. However, with Season 4 still pending release, the storyline remains open to numerous possibilities, leaving fans eagerly awaiting how the narrative will unfold.

The departure of Henry Cavill isn't the only casting change; Kim Bodnia, who played Geralt's mentor Vesemir, will not return for Season 4 due to scheduling conflicts.
