A dream clash of gaming titans: Imagine Sonic and Mario on the silver screen! Fan enthusiasm for a Sega and Nintendo crossover has fueled numerous discussions.

KH Studio has answered the call with a concept trailer showcasing a hypothetical Mario and Sonic movie. The vibrant Mushroom Kingdom is juxtaposed with Sonic's breakneck speed, offering a tantalizing glimpse of what such a collaboration could achieve.

Inspired by the phenomenal success of the Super Mario Bros. and Sonic the Hedgehog movie adaptations – raking in over $2 billion globally – this concept trailer ignites the imagination.

Despite their historical rivalry making a true Nintendo/Sega hero crossover unlikely, the concept resonates deeply with fans.

In the meantime, audiences can anticipate sequels: Super Mario Bros. at the Movies 2 (2026) and Sonic 4 at the Movies (2027).

Separately, a December announcement revealed a partnership between McDonald's, Sega, and Paramount. Sonic toys arrived in the US following the 2022 McDonald's toy release, sparking fan hopes for a collaboration on a third film.
