Leaked game files from Marvel Rivals, discovered by reliable dataminer X0X_Leaks, suggest an upcoming PvE mode featuring a boss battle against a kraken. While the kraken model includes some animations, high-resolution textures are currently absent. The dataminer showcased a size comparison within the game engine to give players a preview of the creature.

Marvel Rivals also announced a significant Spring Festival event commencing this Thursday. This event introduces a unique 3v3 game mode, "Clash of Dancing Lions," where teams compete to score a ball into the opposing goal. This mode bears a striking resemblance to Overwatch's Lucioball, and by extension, Rocket League.

This similarity is noteworthy, as Marvel Rivals seemingly aims to establish its own identity separate from Overwatch, requiring substantial original content. However, its inaugural major event utilizes a game mode strikingly similar to Overwatch's initial special event. The key difference lies in Marvel Rivals' incorporation of distinct Chinese cultural elements, contrasting with Overwatch's Olympic Games theme.
