Marvel Rivals Unveils Season 1 Darkhold Battle Pass

NetEase Games has unveiled the Darkhold battle pass for Season 1 of Marvel Rivals, titled "Eternal Night Falls," set to launch on January 10 at 1 AM PST. This season introduces Dracula as the main antagonist, with Doctor Doom taking a temporary backseat. After Dracula traps Doctor Strange, it's up to The Fantastic Four to rally against his nefarious forces, promising thrilling gameplay and an engaging storyline.

The battle pass for Season 1 is priced at 990 Lattice, approximately $10, and offers an array of rewards. Players who complete the pass can earn 600 Lattice and 600 Units, which can be used to buy cosmetics or future battle passes. The pass includes 10 exclusive skins along with sprays, nameplates, emotes, and MVP animations. Importantly, the battle pass does not expire, allowing players who purchase it to complete it at their own pace even after the season ends.

The trailer for Season 1 gives fans a glimpse of some of the skins available in the battle pass. Magneto's King Magnus outfit, inspired by his House of M costume, showcases his regal yet menacing persona. Rocket Raccoon dons a Western-inspired Bounty Hunter skin, complete with a wanted poster featuring his face. Iron Man transforms into a medieval knight with the Blood Edge Armor, reminiscent of the Dark Souls aesthetic. Peni Parker stands out in her vibrant Blue Tarantula skin, while Namor sports the Savage Sub-Mariner look with green and gold accents.

Marvel Rivals Season 1 Battle Pass Skins

  • Loki - All-Butcher
  • Moon Knight - Blood Moon Knight
  • Rocket Raccoon - Bounty Hunter
  • Peni Parker - Blue Tarantula
  • Magneto - King Magnus
  • Namor - Savage Sub-Mariner
  • Iron Man - Blood Edge Armor
  • Adam Warlock - Blood Soul
  • Scarlet Witch - Emporium Matron
  • Wolverine - Blood Berserker

Season 1's theme embraces a dark and ominous atmosphere. Wolverine's Blood Berserker skin draws inspiration from the vampire hunter Van Helsing, fitting the season's eerie vibe. New York City is under the shadow of a blood moon in the new maps, enhancing the sinister backdrop. Loki's All-Butcher skin in dark green and black adds to his menacing appearance, while Moon Knight's Blood Moon Knight costume features striking white accents on black. Scarlet Witch's Emporium Matron skin is adorned in her signature red with purple accents, and Adam Warlock's Blood Soul skin boasts golden armor with a crimson cape, adding to the season's gothic charm.

While the battle pass has generated excitement, some fans were disappointed by the absence of skins for The Fantastic Four. Although Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic are set to debut with Season 1, their cosmetics will be available only through the in-game shop. As the hero shooter gears up for this content-rich season, anticipation grows for what NetEase Games has in store for future updates.
