Monopoly drops a new Valentine’s Day themed update with new house rules and a quiz

Monopoly's Valentine's Day Update: Love is in the Air (and on the Board!)

Get ready for a romantic twist on classic Monopoly! Marmalade Game Studio and Hasbro have unveiled a special Valentine's Day update for their Android and iOS Monopoly game, featuring limited-time content designed to celebrate love in a fun and engaging way.

This update includes a fun personality quiz that matches you with one of four Monopoly tokens, each representing a different facet of love. Enjoy a 24-hour free trial of your matched token, with a discounted price offered afterward if you wish to keep it.

The update also introduces exciting new House Rules designed for a faster-paced game. These include:

  • Quick Hotels: Build hotels with only three houses instead of four.
  • Quick End: The game concludes after the first player goes bankrupt.
  • Quick Jail: Escape jail on your very first turn.
  • Starting Title Deeds: Begin the game with three randomly assigned properties.
  • Skip Spaces: Bypass all tax, Chance, and Community Chest spaces.

Adding to the Valentine's Day festivities, a charming new set of Cupid-inspired tokens is available, along with the "Sweethearts" bundle featuring adorable cherubs.

Radu Rovin, Head of Studio at Marmalade Game Studio, shared, "We aimed to create an event celebrating diverse expressions of love this Valentine's Day – from friendships formed during Monopoly games to enjoying some self-care playtime. We hope our players enjoy celebrating it all!"
