Monopoly GO's Wild Sticker: A Game Changer for Sticker Collectors

Monopoly GO, the mobile adaptation of the classic board game, has introduced a game-changing element: the Wild Sticker. This unique card allows players to select any missing sticker from their current album, including elusive Gold Stickers, significantly boosting completion rates. This guide explains how Wild Stickers work and whether purchasing them is worthwhile.

Understanding Wild Stickers

A Wild Sticker acts as a wildcard, enabling players to choose any missing sticker to complete a set within their current album. This includes both tradeable and the notoriously difficult-to-obtain non-tradeable Gold Stickers. This differs from traditional sticker acquisition methods, adding a strategic layer to the game.

Using Wild Stickers

Upon receiving a Wild Sticker, players are presented with a list of their missing stickers. They select their desired sticker—be it a four-star, five-star, or even a rare Gold sticker—and add it to their collection. Completing a set or album with a Wild Sticker grants rewards comparable to those earned from regular sticker packs. However, the choice is final and cannot be reversed. Furthermore, Wild Stickers cannot be saved for later use; the selection must be made immediately.

Are Purchased Wild Stickers Worth It?

Scopely frequently offers discounted Wild Stickers, particularly towards the end of an album. This can be advantageous when only a few stickers are needed to complete a collection and claim the grand prize. If other acquisition methods have proven unsuccessful, and only one or two stickers remain, purchasing a Wild Sticker can be a time-saving investment, quickly overcoming the final hurdle. However, carefully weigh the cost against the value of the reward.
