Eerie Worlds: A Tactical CCG Featuring Global Folklore Monsters

Rifts are rarely good news in gaming, but Avid Games has embraced the chaos in its highly anticipated game, Eerie Worlds. This tactical CCG, a follow-up to Cards, the Universe and Everything, offers a monster-themed experience focused on fun and learning.

The game features a visually diverse roster of monsters, each inspired by real-world mythological and folkloric horrors. From Japanese Yokai like Jikininki and Kuchisake-onna to Slavic creatures such as Vodyanoy and Psoglav, the game boasts a truly global collection of terrifying beings. Bigfoot, Mothman, the Nandi Bear, El Chupacabra, and countless others round out the diverse cast, each accompanied by detailed, researched descriptions.

Eerie Worlds incorporates four Alliances (Grimbald, Zerrofel, Rivin, and Synnig) and multiple Hordes, creating strategic depth through varied monster properties. Players build their Grimoire, a personal monster collection, and level it up by merging duplicate cards. The initial release includes 160 basic cards, with many more accessible through merging and additional cards planned for the future.

Avid Games has announced two more Hordes are coming within the next few months, ensuring ongoing strategic challenges.

Gameplay involves a deck of nine monster cards and one world card, played over nine 30-second turns. Players must strategically manage mana, exploit synergies, and make high-stakes decisions.

Ready to dive into the world of Eerie Worlds? Download it for free now on the Google Play Store and the App Store.
