Morikomori Life has officially launched on Android and iOS platforms, but it's currently exclusive to Japan. The game, published by Realfun Studio, marks a fresh release after its initial debut in China by Level Infinite under Tencent Games. Interestingly, the Chinese version was discontinued approximately a year ago.
The Rural Farm Life Sim Is Back
One of the standout features of Morikomori Life is its captivating visuals. The developers have masterfully captured the essence of a cozy rural life through anime-inspired, specifically Ghibli-style art. This isn't just another generic, AI-generated style; the scenes genuinely evoke the charm of a Studio Ghibli film.
In the game, you step into the shoes of Kaon, a young Japanese girl. The narrative begins when Kaon receives a mysterious letter from her grandmother, prompting her to return to her childhood village, Komori. There, you embark on a journey to rediscover the joys of a tranquil rural life. The 3D toon shading in Komori brings the serene Japanese landscapes to life, making them feel warm and reminiscent of the actual countryside.

Morikomori Life Lets You Experience Slow-Paced Living
Morikomori Life immerses you in the essence of slow-paced, rural living. Engage in various activities such as farming, cooking, fishing, hunting, and even constructing your own home. Gather resources by chopping wood, mining ore, and exploring to find rare materials.
As you accumulate resources, you'll unlock opportunities to enhance your home and enrich your lifestyle. Customize Kaon's appearance to suit your taste, interact with new friends in the village, prepare meals from foraged ingredients, and assist villagers with various tasks.
The game offers extensive character customization, allowing you to tailor your avatar to reflect your personality. Additionally, the open-world aspect encourages free exploration, leading to delightful and unexpected discoveries.
Currently available on Android in Japan, you can find Morikomori Life on the Google Play Store if you're in the region. There's no confirmation yet on a global release.
