The upcoming season promises "big changes, big battles, and…big Pokémon," strongly suggesting the implementation of Dynamax and Gigantamax. Niantic stated that Morpeko's form change in battle, triggered by a Charged Attack, offers "new possibilities."

While specifics remain undisclosed, the "big" changes are expected to launch in September. Speculation abounds that this could pave the way for other Galar region Pokémon like Mimikyu and Aegislash. The method of implementing Dynamax/Gigantamax in Pokémon GO, whether mirroring the Power Spots from Sword and Shield, is yet to be revealed.
