Mutt Location Guide in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2

Author : Stella Apr 05,2025

In the world of video games, dogs are often the most loyal companions you can have, and *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* is no exception. Mutt, Henry's faithful dog, goes missing early in the game, but don't worry—we've got you covered on how to find him.

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mutt Location

While there's an entire side quest dedicated to finding Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, we can cut to the chase. Mutt is located near a wolf cave, southwest of the Nomads’ Camp and just east of the river's bathing spot. Here's a screenshot to guide you to his exact location:

The most straightforward way to reach Mutt is by fast traveling to the Nomads’ Camp, then heading southwest into the forest. This path will likely lead you directly above the cave. As you get closer, listen for Mutt's whines, which will guide you to a clearing near the cave where Mutt and a few wolves await.

Approaching the area will trigger a cutscene where you'll encounter Mutt and a pack of wolves. You'll also receive a tutorial on how to command Mutt in battle. At this point, you can decide to either fight the wolves or flee. Fortunately, wolves and other wild animals in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2* are manageable, making it a good opportunity to level up your combat skills.

Once you've dealt with the wolves, Mutt will be at your command. You can interact with him by holding L1 while looking at him, allowing you to feed him or send him back to your home.

Finding Mutt During the Invaders Side Quest

It's worth noting that you might stumble upon the wolf cave while completing the Invaders side quest, particularly if you choose to interact with the Cumans. After getting drunk with them, Henry will follow Vasko up a hill to fetch more liquor, leading you directly to the cave. This will trigger the cutscene with Mutt and the wolves, but you'll have to manage the situation while intoxicated.

For the best outcome, I recommend dealing with the wolves during the day and rescuing Mutt before progressing further with the Invaders quest. Handling wolves while drunk and in the dark is challenging, and attempting to flee could result in a fatal fall due to poor visibility.

And that's how you find Mutt in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*. For more tips and information on the game, be sure to check out The Escapist.
