Onimusha: Way of the Sword has the best State of Play trailer

The most impressive trailer from the recent State of Play showcase was undoubtedly the new entry in the Onimusha franchise. Onimusha: Way of the Sword unveiled its protagonist, Miyamoto Musashi, whose striking resemblance to legendary Japanese actor Toshiro Mifune is achieved through a meticulously crafted character model.

The trailer depicts Musashi engaging in thrilling combat against demons that have invaded Kyoto, showcasing both his fierce fighting prowess and a touch of humorous evasion.

The narrative centers on Musashi's divinely bestowed power, the Oni Gauntlet. He must confront and vanquish these monstrous beings, absorbing their souls to replenish his health and unlock devastating special abilities.

A remastered trailer for Onimusha 2 was also presented, providing a stark visual comparison that underscores the remarkable advancements in gaming graphics over the years.
